Based on the international smash-hit film, and featuring a score by music legend Elton John, Billy Elliot the Musical is a heart-warming, funny and feel-good celebration of family and adolescence. Set against the backdrop of the 1984-85 miners’ strike, we follow the journey of a young boy raised in a small British mining town. Stepping out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, he discovers a passion for dance that inspires his family, community and changes his life forever.
Having been seen by almost 12 million people across the world, Billy Elliot is loved by critics and audiences alike, having received over 80 awards internationally, including 10 Tony Awards and 5 Olivier Awards.
